People ask me some version of the same question every week: where can I actually buy goBHB? For a long time the honest answer was “a handful of keto powders.” That’s not the case anymore. goBHB® now shows up in an energy drink sold at 7-Eleven, a GNC exclusive, a 2 oz energy shot, a stim-free pre-workout and even a protein bar.
This guide covers the goBHB products on shelves right now, what’s in each one, how much goBHB you get per serving, and which research lines up with that dose. I’ll keep it updated as new SKUs launch.

They range from 2 grams of goBHB in a can to 6 grams in a scoop of powder, which matters, because the human studies on BHB have used anywhere from 1.5 to 10 grams a day.

Energy Drinks and Shots
MAC Energy
Conor McGregor’s MAC Energy is the highest-profile goBHB launch so far. Each 12 oz can has 2,000 mg of goBHB, 200 mg of Purcaf® natural caffeine and 250 mg of Cognizin® citicoline, with zero sugar and 10 calories. It comes in four flavors and is sold on Amazon, TikTok Shop, drinkmac.com and, since September, at 7-Eleven.
MAC is the product I point to when people ask what BHB does alongside caffeine. Our own lab work found that BHB blunted the adenosine spike behind the caffeine crash in human brain cells, which I wrote up in our caffeine crash study post. That was cell research, not a human trial, so treat it as a strong early signal rather than proof.
CleanForm goBHB Energy Shot
This one is the opposite of MAC: zero caffeine and zero sugar in a 2 oz shot, using L-goBHB. It comes in Blue Raspberry, Wild Berry and Sour Apple, sold in 6-packs. In July it earned TruShield Certification, which means it was tested for more than 480 banned substances, a big deal for athletes in drug-tested sports.
One honest note: most of the published human research on BHB has used D-BHB or racemic (D/L) salts. L-BHB has less research behind it, so the energy shot is built on a newer part of the science.
Powders and Pre-Workouts
Beyond Raw Chemistry Labs BHB Salts (GNC)
GNC added BHB Salts powered by goBHB to its Beyond Raw Chemistry Labs line this fall. It is about as straightforward as it gets: 5 grams of goBHB per serving bonded to four minerals (115 mg calcium, 135 mg magnesium, 210 mg sodium and 127 mg potassium), unflavored, so you can stir it into water, coffee or a pre-workout. CleanForm Nutrition goBHB
CleanForm’s goBHB is a 50/50 D/L blend of calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium BHB, 30 servings per tub, in Unflavored, Tangy Apple and Strawberry Kiwi. The flavored versions are stevia-sweetened at 20 calories a scoop. CleanForm earned NSF Certified for Sport status in January, which opened goBHB up to youth, college and pro programs (more on that here).
This D/L salt format is the closest match to the KETAD trial, published in Nutrients in 2025. Adults on a modest calorie deficit took 10 grams a day of racemic BHB salts or a placebo for eight weeks. The BHB group lost 3.05 kg of body weight versus 1.51 kg with placebo, and 1.97 kg of fat mass versus 0.82 kg. The differences between groups didn’t reach statistical significance in the main analysis, so the authors call for larger trials, but the direction was consistent. Ketone Labs funded the study.
Birds of Prey Stim-Free Pre-Workout
Birds of Prey is a caffeine-free pre-workout built around 5 grams of goBHB, 8 grams of L-citrulline and 5 grams of Pürest Creatine, plus Setria® glutathione, betaine, HydroPrime® and AstraGin®. It is aimed at people who train at night and don’t want 300 mg of caffeine wrecking their sleep. Flavors are Watermelon Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade.
Sports Research Keto+
Sports Research Keto+ uses goBHB as its ketone source. A 10.5 g scoop has 6 grams of goBHB salts (calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium), plus 600 mg leucine, 250 mg acetyl-L-carnitine, 250 mg lysine and 100 mcg of chromium, at 20 calories. You can find it at Vitacost, iHerb and other retailers. We did a brand spotlight on Sports Research earlier this year.
Food: Nulla Gourmet with goBHB
This is the first protein bar I know of with goBHB in it. Nulla Gourmet keeps the original bar’s 20 grams of protein, zero seed oils and no gluten, and adds honey plus goBHB, so you get fast carbs and ketones in the same snack. Flavors are Chocolate Chip Crisp, Peanut Butter Cup and Fudge Brownie. The goBHB amount per bar isn’t listed on the product page, so I left it off the chart above.
How to Choose Between Them
Start with what you want it for. If you want energy and focus during the workday and already drink caffeine, MAC Energy is the easy swap. If you want energy without any stimulant, the goBHB Energy Shot or a scoop of unflavored powder makes more sense. If your goal is body composition, the research points to higher daily amounts: 2.9 grams of D-BHB in the Japanese studies and 10 grams of D/L salts in KETAD. That’s more practical with a powder like Beyond Raw, CleanForm or Sports Research Keto+ than with one can a day.
Also look at sodium. BHB salts carry minerals, and two or three scoops can add up, so check the label if you watch your sodium intake or have kidney or blood pressure concerns, and talk to your doctor if you’re pregnant or on medication.
Where the Evidence Stands
The best human data on BHB and body composition comes from three randomized, placebo-controlled trials. In KETAD, 10 g/day of BHB salts plus a calorie deficit produced more weight and fat loss than placebo, but the between-group results were trends rather than statistically significant differences. In two Japanese trials, 1.5 to 2.9 g/day of D-BHB reduced visceral fat area by about 9 to 11 cm² over 12 weeks compared with placebo. The D-BHB in those trials was made by Osaka Gas, whose staff co-authored the papers, and the KETAD trial was funded by Ketone Labs. Research on energy, focus and the caffeine crash is earlier stage. None of these products are meant to treat or prevent any disease.
The Bottom Line
goBHB is now in more formats than at any time since we started: cans, shots, powders, a pre-workout and a bar.
