Exogenous BHB study gives goBHB even more scientific backing in preserving lean muscle

A new human study has highlighted the potential benefits of goBHB, the well-known exogenous ketone ingredient from Ketone Labs, showing it may support the preservation of lean muscle while reducing body fat.

Researchers found that participants who supplemented with goBHB salts during a calorie-restricted diet experienced:

  • Significant reductions in fat mass
  • Improved lean-mass-to-fat-mass ratio
  • Maintenance of resting metabolic rate, a key factor often reduced during dieting

These results are notable because dieting typically leads to both fat and muscle loss, along with a slowdown in metabolism. The study suggests that goBHB may help counteract these effects, making it a useful ingredient for athletes and individuals focused on improving body composition.

The study also reported lower LDL cholesterol and stable liver-enzyme levels, indicating a positive safety profile for the ingredient.

According to the authors, goBHB may serve as a promising metabolic-support tool for people looking to lose weight without sacrificing muscle mass.
